“I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the (A)goodness of the LORD. In the (B)land of the living” (Psalm. 27:13 NASB)

MOCS (Mothers of Champions) is a network of extraordinary women who encourage, refresh and fellowship with one another. We are mothers of children with special needs. We provide a secure and relaxed environment to share each other’s joys, frustrations and pain and to receive comfort and healing from the Word of God.

Who we are

  1. Our foundation scripture is “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the (A)goodness of the LORD. In the (B)land of the living” (Psalm. 27:13 NASB)
  2. We encourage you through the Word of God, prayer and fellowship
  3. We believe God is still Jehovah Rapha; the self-existent covenant keeper, who cures, makes whole and thoroughly heals.
  4. We are your support from Zion. Psalm 20:1-2 states “May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.”
  5. We provide a setting to share each others joys, frustrations and pain and to receive comfort and healing from the Word of God
  6. We provide social interaction as a means to relieve stress and anxiety.
  7. We liaise with the church to create an environment conducive for children with special needs.
  8. We provide peer support during challenging times. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV)
  9. We organize lectures on special needs issues by professionals

In Him I live, and move, and have my being

Confessions

I am complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power

In Him I live, and move, and have my being

I am bold, I am strong for the Lord my God is with me

God made him who had no sin to be sin for me, so that in him I might become the righteousness of God

God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind

I prosper and am in health, even as my soul prospers
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by me to the glory of God.

This is the confidence I have in approaching God: that if I ask anything according to his will, he hears me. And if we know that he hears me—whatever I ask—I know that I have what I asked of him.

I am not anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.

I shall not labor in vain or bring forth [children] for sudden terror or calamity; for I am the descendant of the blessed of the Lord, and my offspring with me

The Lord makes us increase, both me and my children
My children grow up, and wax strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God is upon them

My children grow and are in favor both with the Lord, and also with men

He sent out his word and healed my children, snatching them from the door of death

As for my children, God gives them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom

The Lord will complete, bring to maturity everything that concerns me and my children
